A SACRED ISLAMIC TRADITION
Qurbani, the ritual sacrifice performed during Eid al-Adha, commemorates the ultimate act of submission demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) when he was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail (AS) in obedience to Allah’s command. This profound act of faith reminds us of our own commitment to submit to Allah’s will and care for His creation.
“Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you.” (Surah Al-Hajj, 22:37)
